Your Options for Shopping in the Smokies Just Got Even Better!
A lot of exciting things are happening and more are planned at your favorite Smoky Mountain retailer, Apple Valley!
Apple Valley: Your Favorite Smoky Mountain Gift Shop… and a LOT more!
For decades, families visiting America’s most visited recreational area, The Great Smoky Mountains National Park, have made the Apple Valley stores a “must-stop” part of their summer vacation traditions. Who can blame them for wanting to stretch their legs, browse Smokies-themed souvenir products, enjoy a fried apple pie from the Café, and grab some delicious fudge to carry with them on the long ride home? Owners Mark and Sharon Oldham said the name 'Mountain Village' better describes Apple Valley's proximity to the Great Smoky Mountains and also better describes the wider selection of new merchandise arriving and being added this fall.
The Home & Gift Shop has long offered rustic décor like quilts and other country home accents to bring a bit of Smoky Mountain cabin flavor to suburbia. That will continue at the Apple Valley Mountain Store, now complemented by popular clothing brands North Face®, Mountain HardWear®, Columbia®, and Southern Tide® that shoppers seek out at the Smoky Mountain Outlet Stores.
For those unfamiliar, these brands are known for combining stylish design with the coziest materials available to offer superior protection from the elements. North Face® aims to provide the best gear for athletes and modern-day explorers of the great outdoors. Mountain Hardwear® also makes high-quality performance apparel targeting fans of getting outdoor for activities, while Southern Tide® is a South Carolina-based manufacturer offering wardrobe for the coastal leisure experience, with Polos, sports shirts, sweaters, jackets, and much more.
The addition of this merchandise makes Apple Valley a great place for back-to-school clothes shopping, as well as holiday apparel needs. The changes are meant to preserve what shoppers have long loved about Apple Valley while expanding products to enhance the experience.
Check Out “The Bean” and Dancing Bear’s New Guest Check-In Center
If you haven’t visited us yet in 2018, you’ll be pleasantly surprised to find that Dancing Bear has expanded again, opening a great new Coffee House and Bakery across from the General Store.
The Dancing Bean, or “The Bean” as it has affectionately become known, offers delicious baked goods like house-made muffins, sticky buns, biscuits, flatbread breakfast and lunch creations, wheat bread, and sourdough bread creations from the culinary team at the incredible Dancing Bear Appalachian Bistro, as well as regionally-produced Kombucha, Nitro Coffee, fresh fruit smoothies, custom sodas, bottled juices, and imported and local bottled beers. Also, Benne Seed bacon, granola, pimento cheese, fresh compote, and other Dancing Bear staple items are available in bulk or individual servings. House-made loaf bread is available for sale each day, but when it runs out, it runs out -- until the next batch is baked fresh daily in the Dancing Bear kitchen.
And when you guys arrive for your autumn leaf-peeping, you’ll check in to your accommodations at Dancing Bear Lodge from their new check-in center here at Apple Valley Mountain Village.
