Join us for an exciting summer reading series at Smoky Mountain Outdoor Center in Townsend, TN!

Every Wednesday from May 31th to July 26th, we’ll be featuring nature-themed books that are perfect for kids ages 0 – 8.

After 5 out of the 9 events attended, participants will receive a complimentary adventure pack filled with outdoor essentials curated by Ryan McNutt, our expert outdoor guide.

Plus, receive 10% off your book purchases.

Each event will include approximately 30 minutes of interactive reading featuring a different book, followed by 30 minutes of hands-on activities or crafts related to the book.

This family-friendly event is the perfect way to keep your kids engaged with reading and nature all summer long. And it is free to participate!

June 7 – “Have Your Seen A Black Bear?” featuring Author Katie Cate and related activity

June 21st – Morgan Simmons, Author of “Singing Creek.”

• Sing along with songs played throughout the story! The story will be followed by a DIY instrument craft!

June 28 – Special Guest Author Deana Charcalla with her *New Book” called, “The Night I Became A Butterfly.”

• Read along with Deanna the author and then do a fun butterfly craft!

July 19th – “We’re Going to the Mountains” with special guest author, Author Steve Kemp
