Bean & Guild Artisan Series – Fused Glass

We are excited to announce our next installment of the Bean & Guild class for 2023 coming Friday, October 20th from 3pm-5pm!
Suzette McCauley, a local Townsend artist and member of the Townsend Artisan Guild, will be hosting a fused glass class where participants will cold fuse glass beads onto a glass blank following simple designs or design their own, much like the photo.
Working exclusively with glass, artist Suzette McCauley has been able to contribute her take on themes regarding nature, movement and light through her on-going practice. Suzette takes influences from modernistic realism, applying it to the manipulation of fused glass. Most known for thick dimensional pieces of glass that reflect the beauty of the neighboring Smoky Mountains, Suzette is a member of Townsend Artisan Guild and displays her work at the Guild’s gallery.
Create a one of a kind holiday candle sconce. Participants will cold fuse glass beads onto a glass blank following simple designs or design their own. Blanks will be fused off site and completed items will be available for pick from Townsend Artisan Guild Gallery. Comes with a stand and candle.
